Disabling Startup files using System Configuration Utility. Note: All screen shots were captured on a Windows Millenium operating system. Your exact view may vary.

 

Click Start/run.

In the run window type "msconfig". Click "ok".

The system configuration utility window should appear.

Click the startup tab. Uncheck each one you find. Note: this is safe so if you uncheck something that you're unsure of and the message still comes up you can always go back. Click "apply" and then "ok".

Windows should prompt you to reboot the pc. Go ahead and do so. reboot
